In 2016, former Ronnie Montrose band frontman Keith St. John assembled a gaggle of rock musicians together to celebrate the life and work of Bay Area legend, guitarist and songwriter Ronnie Montrose. Throughout the music world, artists have long been inspired by his work with the bands Montrose and Gamma and cite him as a reason they play music altogether.

Fellow Southern California photographer Ronnie Lyon called me and asked if I was available to capture video content of the event. I accepted the offer. The video you see below features some of my captures from the rehearsal sessions and footage from the concert – edited into more than two and a half hours of rock and roll entertainment. For what it’s worth, I actually have more than half a dozen hours of amazing rehearsal footage and stage performances, but for now, you can enjoy this.
