BIG SUR

I’d been on my first trip up to Hearst Castle around 2008 and made a stop to see the coastline around Big Sur. It’s amazing how it feels like stepping into an issue of the highly ‘photoshopped’ pictures in National Geographic Magazine – the scenery is simply perfect on sight. This particular spot was far enough from the road that you felt secluded in nature. Often, you’d be taking a picture and without noticing, there would be a seal just sitting on a rock looking back at you from just a dozen yards away. It’s truly a photographic paradise.
